• Blue Route (476 south) to exit 3 (Springfield – Lima)
• Route 1 south to Route 41 south (past Rts. 452, 352, 202,
52 & 82)

Towns to pass: Media, Concordville, Chadds Ford, Longwood Gardens,
Kennett Square, Toughkenamon
• On exiting Route 1 south onto Route 41 south, go approximately
two miles to first traffic light in Avondale
• Turn right at Route 41 & State Road intersection (landmarks:
gas station and bank on left)
• Proceed about 200 yards, over railroad tracks and a small
bridge to fork in road. Bear left onto East Avondale Road
• Continue on East Avondale Road

From Lancaster
• Route 30 east to Route 41 south
• Cross over Route 1 and continue to Avondale (approximately
2 miles) to first traffic light in Avondale
• Turn right at Route 41 & State Road intersection (landmarks:
gas station and bank on left)

bridge to fork in road. Bear left onto East Avondale Road
• Continue on East Avondale Road
• From fork, entrance is 1.1 miles on right

• Hockessin is approximately 20 minutes south of Avondale, Pa.
• On entering Avondale Borough at traffic light, continue to
second traffic light.
• Turn left at Route 41 & State Road intersection (landmarks:
gas station and bank on left)
• Proceed about 200 yards, over railroad tracks and a small
bridge to fork in road. Bear left onto East Avondale Road
• Continue on East Avondale Road
• From fork, entrance is 1.1

• I-95 north or Route 13 north to Delaware
• Take Route 7 north
